... and comes up with some doozies:
So what went wrong? According to Barack Obama, the problem is he overestimated you dumb rubes' ability to appreciate what he's been doing for you.
"That I do think is a mistake of mine," the president told ABC's George Stephanopoulos. "I think the assumption was if I just focus on policy, if I just focus on this provision or that law or if we're making a good rational decision here, then people will get it."
But you schlubs aren't that smart. You didn't get it. And Barack Obama is determined to see that you do. So the president has decided that he needs to start "speaking directly to the American people".
Wait, wait! Come back! Don't all stampede for the hills! He gave only 158 interviews and 411 speeches in his first year (according to CBS News' Mark Knoller). That's more than any previous president -- and maybe more than all of them put together.
...
But what will the president be saying in all these extra interviews? In that interview about how he hadn't given enough interviews, he also explained to Stephanopoulos what that wacky Massachusetts election was all about:
"The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office," said Obama. "People are angry and they're frustrated, not just because of what's happened in the last year or two years but what's happened over the last eight years."
Got it. People are so angry and frustrated at George W. Bush that they're voting for Republicans. In Massachusetts. Boy, I can't wait for that 159th interview.
That's Mark Steyn. He's got more. It's all spot on.

So Barry is going to go out and 'speak to the people'. Meaning that his cohorts will round up the usual group of mindless, cheering Obamabots.
AND THAT WILL CHANGE EVERYONE'S MIND?
Maybe we should ask Ellie Light and Mark Spivey.

Barry and Company are SCREWED.
The latest CBO budget estimates out Tuesday predict a $1.35 trillion deficit for this year.
The CBO report predicts a sluggish economic recovery and continued high deficits. The red ink hit a record $1.4 trillion last year. The report sees a slow rebound of the economy, with unemployment averaging 10.1 percent this year. It would grow only slightly more next year with an unemployment rate of 9.5 percent.

back when I worked on a bond trading desk it was well known that one of our traders was a contrarian indicator. If he made a bet in one direction nearly the entire rest of the desk would go the other way because this guy was ALWAYS wrong. Not sometimes but always.
Obama appears to be such a contrarian judge of the national pulse. His gut is always wrong and he's so sure he's in synch.
If it wasn't for the fact that he is piloting the ship of state it would be funny to watch.
O-3bama ... 0 for 2009 and 2010 elections that he worked on.

Remember when ABC gave him that one hour or something to present his health plan without any opposing views allowed? He has also been constantly on TV with talk shows, speeches, etc. No opportunity like this was ever given to Republican presidents.
But, the clown says that the problem is that we haven't heard him enough. Yeah, and the problem with Tera Patrick is that she hasn't been f**d enough.

The idiot and chief. This guy is sooo egocentric. He spoke 144 times on healthcare to the people. This guy lost his ability to wow the crowd. He has been revealed as a rhetorical charicature. As conservatives, we knew he was a cheap empty suit speaking like a used care salesman. Finally the independents awakened to that realization. ww

Dearest Barry,
We don't like your lies, your big government plans, your socialist agenda, your disregard for our precious Constitution, and your intention to diminish our liberty.
Stop acting like a dictator. We don't like it.
Get with the program, Barry. We the people are your employer, and we live in the USA, not the USSA.
The United States is a Constitutional Republic, Barry. We have no dictators here.
Oh, and lose that smug arrogance.
Signed,
We the People

Of course Obama will tackle the problems with more speeches. That's what he can do, speak. He's never done anything else of note.
Heck, he can't even speak very well without a teleprompter.

What the people need is for Obama to give them more of Obama and they'll forget all the unemployment and line up behind his new plans to expand his government into every part of their lives.
Hope and change is gonna pay the rent and put food on the table.
Personally, I'm getting tired of seeing his smarmy face and hearing his talking-a-jumper-off-the-ledge voice while he tries to put a lock on my shoulders and step into the abyss.
