Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I hope you have a wonderful day with your friends and family. Today we are going to my parents' house where we'll have Thanksgiving dinner with them.
As Michael said in his post below, although we are experiencing a lot of economic and political upheaval there is still much to be thankful for. I am thankful for the unconditional love and support from my husband and for my three beautiful children. Yesterday we received news from my daughter's pediatrician that she may have another neurological disorder/syndrome. I am thankful that we were able to get an appointment with her pediatric neurologist for three weeks from now. While this news came as a shock, it makes us even more thankful that she entered our lives four and a half years ago. We are also thankful she is healthy today and we are praying she will remain healthy as we wait for her appointment with her neurologist.
I hope everyone has a happy and healthy Thanksgiving day and weekend.

Kim, could you give me your daughter's first name, please? I'd like to put her on my prayer list.
My wife and I are both in our sixties, yet we have permanent custody of a four-year-old who was severely abused by his mother's boyfriend. We have the constant worry that he may have suffered neurological damage that just hasn't shown yet, so we know what you're going through. God is Good, and He does answer prayers. Just keep that in mind, and you'll find life is much easier to live.

Kim,
I will pray that your insurance company does not drop your daughter.
