From the geniuses that want to read and control the decision making and diagnostics on your next colonoscopy we learn that the idea of President Obama's statement that there are fifty seven U S States may finally have some circumstantial evidence to support it. According to recovery.org, the Obama administration's Biden run stimulus oversight watchdog, there are jobs being created in Congressional districts that know one knew existed.
Here's a stimulus success story: In Arizona's 15th congressional district, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that's what the Web site set up by the Obama administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says. There's one problem, though: There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts.
And ABC News has found many more entries for projects like this in places that are incorrectly identified.Late Monday, officials with the Recovery Board created to track the stimulus spending, said the mistakes in crediting nonexistent congressional districts were caused by human error.
"We report what the recipients submit to us," said Ed Pound, Communications Director for the Board.
Communications Director Pound has unwittingly served up what may yet be the best rebuttal for both ObamaCare and the Obama Keynesian economic policy that is reeking havoc on jobs recovery and the economy. Garbage In, Garbage Out. The federal government has no idea what the effect their spending extravagance has on the U S economy with the exception of two metrics: government jobs created (that still can't be accurately located) and the deficit. While the politicians and bureaucrats in Washington scramble to recover this embarrassing fumble, populists and businesses around the country are organizing around opposition to Obamacare and a liberal elitism that has manifested a political tone deafness not seen in decades.
It was assumed that the 1993 Clinton administration agenda was perhaps the most disconnected policy agenda of a generation; however it may turn out that the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda will doom more Democrats than Clinton and LBJ combined.

LOL! I just looked up my home state of NC, and, apparently we now have a 14th, 37th, 86th, 24th, 99th, and 00 districts! We only have 13.
Interesting how the districts with the lowest payouts are all the ones held by Republicans, other than the 8th.

These of course are the numbers posted AFTER the initial gross reporting errors were discovered. THESE figures have been "triple-checked." I see some blitzed bureaucrat lifting his rubber stamp thrice, just managing to strike the page with each stroke.
In fairness to the Administration, if you crunch the actual numbers they do seem to do a much more efficient job of creating (or "saving"!) jobs in the nonexistent districts than in the real ones. There was one real district in Arizona (I think) where $3.25 million in stimulus money had gone to create (or "save"!) ONE job. ONE job. Okay, so it was a really, really GOOD job, but still . . .
What the heck did we expect, after all? The government to do a great job creating (or "saving"!) jobs? After it's track record of doing so much else so well?

The confusion about Congressional districts that don't exist is understandable given the number of votes that were cast for Obama from those districts, and as part of the political payback, the administration made sure they got a share of the stimulus money :-)
Obama's mistake was in touting transparency and trusting the lame stream media to look the other way.

I had to chime in and help the VIC understand. Affirmative Action works on the basis that women and people of color are somehow less able to get a job or promotion on their own.
Basing ANY decision in hiring practices on skin color makes you a racist. You simply show your bias FOR colored persons and AGAINST average white people.
The difference VIC is that we do not call RACISM! at every turn, because saying that someone of color is wrong based on facts (whether you agree with those facts or not) is different than saying someone is black and therefor must be wrong. Saying that someone who was more qualified for a job was passed over for a colored person because they were WHITE is not racist, it is pointing out a fact.

914 believes it aughter be a requirement that a run at pretender to what now does us for a "presidency" (all the vast criminal enterprises more commonly referred to as the modern "Democratic" potty have put up as their candidate, these past hundred-and-fifty-odd years) be able to pass at least 2nd-grade math.
Just as well he didn't include the present pretender and new (replacing the almost-as-odious Colon Bowell) permanent poster person for both the Peter Principle and infirm-ative action in his 2nd-grade requirement, though. His KINDAGARTEN records are sealed! Seems this manifestation of evil, this awful product of the casual coupling of a loose Kansas kid with an obsession with and for third-world males and some or others of the latter, couldn't make even grade-school without pulling the race card, Vic.

As I commented to Glenn Reynolds earlier, we need to cool it about the "nonexistent" districts. Actually, many of these exist - it's just that they're Districts for State Representative, not for the national Congress. The problem isn't reporting nonexistent districts, but failing to distinguish between Congressional districts and state house districts. It's still a brazen display of stupidity, but let's get the facts right that we're complaining about.
