Our Commander-in-Chief, he who leads our armed forces in the world wide war against terrorism (though no longer called that by this Administration and in a second you'll understand why that might be), has beyond doubt been apprised of the following facts as to the Fort Hood shooter:
- his ties to a radical imam
- his attempts to contact Al Qaeda
- his repeating Allahu Akbar ('God is great') as he mowed down his victims
- his citing the Koran at a professional medical conference specifically as to what to do with infidels (burn, behead, etc)
- his attending the same mosque as a number of the 9/11 hijackers
- his being investigated by the FBI and the Army for being a potential terrorist threat
You know he knows these things and you know he knew them before he was interviewed by Jake Tapper this week. So why... why in hell... would he say something this incredibly myopic:
"... in a country of 300 million people, there are going to be acts of violence that are inexplicable. Even within the extraordinary military that we have -- and I think everybody understands how outstanding the young men and women in uniform are under the most severe stress -- there are going to be instances in which an individual cracks. I think the questions that we're asking now and we don't have yet complete answers to is, is this an individual who's acting in this way or is it some larger set of actors? You know, what are the motivations? Those are all questions that I think we have to ask ourselves. Until we have these answers buttoned down, I'd rather not comment on it."
He'd rather not comment on it despite all that is known... yet he didn't hold back, and had zero facts comparatively, when Cambridge police officer James Crowley arrested his buddy Henry Louis Gates some months ago.
Ponder these words today... and his words on the Cambridge case... and understand the repercussions.
This man is enraged more by a police officer doing his duty than he is a military officer murderously neglecting his. This man finds an alleged (and unfounded) case of racial profiling more troublesome and worthy of his anger than that of a clear act of terrorism. This man will hold his tongue as to the actions of an incontestably radical Islamist but will cut it loose as to the actions of a policeman doing his job.
This man, and what he stands for more particularly and specifically, sickens me.

OK, yes. Hasan DID crack under stress.
The stress of being a Muslim fanatic.
The stress of being a traitorous Muslim fanatic.
The stress of being a traitorous Muslim fanatic and having to deal with REAL Americans day in day out...and realizing what a piece of crap he was by comparison!
Lot of stress there. I say we relieve him of all that stress...PERMANENTLY!

You are absolutely correct he knows the facts you mentioned above. But, instead he invites us to a period of reflection. After all up to this point reflection has been this man's refuge from having to make a difficult decision he doesn't want to make. Well unless of course someone else is running interference for him like Pelosi on health care. Look how long he's been "reflecting" on that troop request he got from McChrystal.

WHAT IF?
What if Barack Obama had been President on December 8, 1941?
.
President Obama gives speech on the attack on Pearl Harbor at music awards dinner.
.
Thank you ladies and gentlemen this has been a great event. Let me send a shout out to the great bandleader and Metal of Honor winner, there he is Count Bassie. Stand up Count. Man I just love your songs. Aboom, boom a de woop, boom, boom a skee bop. You and me are going to have to take the A-train together. You can count on that. Anyway yesterday, December 7, 1941--a date which will live in me--the United States of America for which I am the President was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces associated with Japan. Hey, there's Billie Holliday, You go girl with that strange fruit shit. I just hope that's not a gay slur, or I'll have to have J. Edgar haul you in for a hate crime. Now we're not going to jump to conclusion or have a rush to judgment because we believe that this attack came from an isolated carrier group acting on their own, that just happens to be Japanese. Yes, it was a terrible act of violence, where we lost many ships and military personnel, that I am Commander in Chief of, but we can't rush to judgment and start to attack the wonderful peace loving nation of Japan. Which has as a long history as a peaceful warrior society.

Somehow I doubt that, had the shooter been a white guy from the South and even more of the victims been black, Obama would have felt so gosh-darned "reflective" about the whole thing.
That would have been an entirely different narrative, and Obama so loves a good narrative. Given a nice, juicy narrative, the man can make a teleprompter SING!

If I recall, I read somewhere that MEchelle suggested they start going to a Christian church if O'slobo wanted to get into politics. Was he a dedicated Muslim before he started in the "Community Organizer" business? If someone has the answer, I would appreciate being set straight on this. If this is true, then that would explain his reluctance to stand behind a Christian nation when it comes to a choice between Christian and Muslim. If he wants to choose Muslim, send his ass to a different country as soon as possible before he gets more of our military murdered.

In defense (not deferance) to the President.
We are not fighting a "War on Terror" any longer, what we are fighting now is "Militant Islam" or "Radical Islam" or perhaps "Anti-Jihad Operations".
I have had too many arguments over the last few days centering on the term "terrorism" being used when the targets were military. So I stopped calling it a "Terrorist Attack" and instead call it a "Jihadi Attack".
That is much harder for them to argue. The facts do lend themselves more to this murderer being a Jihadi than being some "postal" nutjob who snapped under pressure.
If Muslims really are opposed to these people then they MUST take a firm stand against Radical Islam and denounce them being true Muslims. They must then begin to weed out those within their ranks who think this way.
At the same time we have to get off our high horses and realize that Religion IS a factor and SHOULD be investigated if there is cause to worry about a person. We will continue to allow attacks as long as we keep being PC about the whole thing.
Those Muslims who do not cry out fiercly against the militants and radicals are simply showing us all that they hate the loss of life, but applaud the deaths of non-believers.
Until they begin to cry out, it will remain that the "Religion of Peace" is only peaceful if you are part of that religion. Otherwise you are an infidel who must die or convert.

Just so. Like his ignoring the dissidents in Iran, who are left to chant his name in vain, hoping to be thrown any sort of bone that he is with them (of course he is not with them). Or his ignoring the Honduran constitution to back a fellow lefty who wants to really trash a constitution (to install himself for life) against the wishes of that countries judiciary, legislature and non-Zelaya supporters. Or how he shows much more disdain for an Officer Crowley than piece of dirt Hasan (can't jump to conclusions on motive in the case of cold-blooded murder but can in case of police officer doing his job).
