Sometimes I wonder if the people who do this are idiots, nuts, or both at the same time. Either way, Weusi McGowan, who threw excrement (in words and poo) while on trial for robbery has been sentenced to thirty-one years behind bars, the AP is reporting. Why he thought this was a good idea, I have no clue.
From the AP:
Superior Court Judge Frank Brown on Monday sentenced Weusi McGowan for robbery, burglary and two assault charges stemming from the feces-flinging incident during his January trial.McGowan, who attorneys say suffers from mental illness, had asked for a mistrial because he believed jurors had seen him in restraints when he entered the courtroom.
Several days after his request was denied, McGowan pulled out a bag of excrement he had hidden in his clothing, rubbed it on his lawyer and tossed it at the jury, hitting one juror's computer case.
All I can say is that I hope he didn't have chili before he did that.

Seems like a pretty stiff sentence for somebody who was just giving the jury a piece of his mind.

He should have killed someone instead. He would have gotten a lighter sentence. I am being facetious but, sadly, still close to the mark.
