Finger bitten off during California health protestTHOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - California authorities say a clash between opponents and supporters of health care reform ended with one man biting off another man's finger.
Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Frank O'Hanlon says about 100 people demonstrating in favor of health care reforms rallied Wednesday night on a street corner. One protester walked across the street to confront about 25 counter-demonstrators.
O'Hanlon says the man got into an argument and fist fight, during which he bit off the left pinky of a 65-year-old man who opposed health care reform.
A hospital spokeswoman says the man lost half the finger, but doctors reattached it and he was sent home the same night.
She says he had Medicare.
O'Hanlon says the attacker fled but authorities have a good description.
I'm just surprised AP beat the YouTube Video.

Describing the opposition to government takeover of health care as "opponents of health care reform" and raging Socialists as mere "supporters of health care reform" is an objectionable and false simplification. Leftists and their euphemisms.

As usual, Paul makes as much sense as a two year old throwing a tantrum.
Under Obama's $500 BILLION medicare cuts, the guy would probably have been given a tetanus shot and a pain pill. Given that he was 65, they might have skipped the shot in order to save money.

All we have here is one side to the story, like many other immature men he just used physical violence because he was not able to articulate his position or use his brain to avoid one, never had the misfortune to be in a brawl myself, I only pity this man who felt the need to bunch his hand into someone's mouth, so now all of you can claim he is something of a innocent victim. He is trying to expand healthcare to everyone, so we do not have to pay the crazy prices for emergency room care, which all of us pay anyway. I agree with Montana, especially her pointing out that the old guy could have defused and controlled the situation by simply moving away but he seem very happy content with the attention and outcome. Could it be he wanted to be the new idol to be worship, a new hero whose poster will be going up in wingnuts closets around the country? Or it could be he just wanted others to claim he was a victim and be on TV (he was quick to run to "Fake News").
