Not always noted by Christians, Jesus always prayed to his father before he performed miracles as he was merely human himself. It was the power of his father that performed the miracles such as raising Lazarus. But Jesus will certainly return as God when he becomes ruler of the Earth, setting up his government on Earth.

Paul, my bible doesn't say anything about Jesus taking over as God, nor does it say He's going to become "ruler of the Earth;" it just says "Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth." Where in your bible is that "ruler of the Earth" bit written?

Actually, Jesus IS God. It's a trinity thing. So, yes, we killed God, who loved us anyway and did not stay dead. Sorry, despite Jesus's prayers to his Father, He was NOT merely human himself. He was/is both human and divine. To think otherwise is heresy.

The narrative is the story about how things happened as told by nobody that had been there. And yes please tell me that Mathew, Mark, Luke, and/or John were there when any of the Gospels stories happened. Or don"t you know the history of Christianity and the Bible?
The narrative is the story of faith.

WC (#22),
I know a little Bible history. And Matthew and John were there- they were two of His disciples. Mark got all the info in his Gospel from Peter (another firsthand witness/disciple) and Luke very clearly stated that he investigated all of those stories (plus he was a companion of Paul, who personally saw the risen Christ).
The narrative is historically accurate.

For someone who uses WorldCitizen as a handle on this blog, your knowledge of history is quite limited. The Bible is not the only documentation that bears witness to the birth, works and resurrection of Jesus the Christ, and of the Creator of the universe.
Simple mathematics will tell you of the one and only Designer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qrtdld2HuSQ
The Quran will tell you the truth of the virgin birth of Jesus, and the history that has been suppressed from the western world:
Read Surah 19 titled Mary:

Just because you look away and maintain tunnel vision doesn't mean these documentations are untrue.
Glory to God in the highest and peace toward all men in the anticipation of the return of the only true messiah, Jesus Christ. Please, everyone, have a wonderful and blessed Easter! :D

I just wanted somebody to tell me. Faith comes naturally to humans. The way in which it is directed is what bind and separate us. Wouldn't it be nice if we all had faith in the same thing. Then we could hate each other for the best of reasons.

The idea is not to hate each other, but to focus on similarities. I used to have a blog called LaMedusa, but I suppose you could say sometimes I have scary hair, especially in the morning. ;)
So, what does WorldCitizen imply, then, hating on a global scale? That's not the best place to put your faith now is it? If your perspective is based on a narrative of hate, I'd say you need a wake up call as to what is going to make the world a better place. You are not going to learn a thing just by saying, "Please don't tell me..." Unless you choose not to learn from history and experience, then you might as well be going down that path of destruction along with most of the world's population. The best to you, always, WC.
