I have not been doing weekly 24 posts because for the first time since season one I am not watching it "live." Due to some conflicts I often DVR it now and watch it later. This season is one of my favorite so far though and this week's episode was an adrenaline rush and especially quoteworthy. Here are a couple of my favorite lines from this week's episode:
Jack in response to reluctance of others to "do what is necessary" to get information: "When are you people going to stop thinking everyone else is following your rules? They're not."
----
Larry the FBI guy: The rules are what make us better.Jack: Not today.

Ach! I have not seen this weeks episode yet! I had to go to a donkey basketball game last night! It had nothing to do with politics it was just high school kids playing baskeball on donkeys.
This is really a great season! Jack is back and I cant wait to watch it tonight.
Classic Line!

Lorie, you and I are the big TV fans around here. But my biggest frustration right now has been that some networks are now using a "copy protection" signal scheme that doesn't allow you to record some popular TVs or channels to the DVD recorders that record directly onto those cheap blank DVDs to view later. While the TV listings will list all shows as recordable to VHS recorders with a VCR Plus code, none of them indicate which shows are blocked from recording onto a video recorder that uses DVDs instead. I think that this an outrageous over-protection of their product that only makes some fans angry enough to stop watching some shows.
The homemade DVDs of TV shows aren't that great in quality for the most part, and especially at the 8 or 10 hour speed only allow you to archive a great deal of shows, but at a quality generally far worse than most video tapes, so I can't understand what exactly these networks are hoping to protect.
TV networks and many show producers are simply too greedy and just don't care about the fans of their shows in my view. They already discouraged me enough that I'm actually watching a little less TV recently. This is remarkable for me because I'm a lifelong TV fan.

My favorite line from last night's episode...
President Taylor: "How am I supposed to know where your loyalties really lie?"
Jack: "With all due respect Madam President, ask around!"
Loved that answer!

I'll put Stefan from TopChef against Agent Manbag. Plus Top Chef does not (and WILL NOT) employ the amnesia plot device!
