This week's Weekend Caption Contest™ was a smash. Obviously using a photo from a plane crash is a dicey proposition, but given that we all know how well things turned out, you've got to admit that the photo just presented too many captioning possibilities to ignore. The assignment this weekend was to caption the following picture:
Here are the winning entries:

2) (hpb) - Flight attendant: "All right, now do you care about the 'in the event of a water landing' speech?"
3) (Stephen Macklin) - "Those people on the left wing have no idea what they're doing."
4) (Rickbert) - "Sometimes the Universe just decides to make it's own Far Side cartoon."
5) (vader06) - "A flock of seagulls caused this ? Man I knew that guy's hair was a disaster but come on..."
6) (Tom Blogical) - "So that's what happened to Air America."
The Readers Choice Award this week went to fustian's winning entry. In its place I offer another excellent caption from our winner:
(fustian) - "When USAir tells you they need a 'bail out', they really mean it."

This is US Airways, right? I'm a little surprised that no one submitted something along the lines of...
"Watch your step getting on to the wing. Flotation devices can be purchased from the flight attendant for a charge of $7 - exact change is appreciated..."
