Hamas and Israeli officials are saying a top Hamas leader has been killed in an Israeli airstrike.
Said Siyam, the Hamas interior minister, was killed in an air raid on his brother's home near Gaza City.As interior minister, Mr Siyam controlled thousands of Hamas security troops in Gaza and was said to be widely feared.
His son and brother were also killed in the strike, along with two other Hamas officials - the interior ministry's security director Saleh Abu Sharkh and the local leader of the Hamas militia, Mahmoud Abu Watfah.
In related news, many in Lebenon are saying they do not want another war with Israel.
But even as they watch casualties mount in Israel's 20-day attack on the Gaza Strip, they say they've turned a page and don't want to be drawn into a second front in a war with their longtime enemy."We don't want another war with Israel," said Suhair Hammoud, a 36-year-old teacher.
That sentiment, shared by many among the farming communities dotting the rolling green hills and olive groves here, is a significant departure.
"We don't want another war, we are fed up," says Ezzat Harfoush, 51, a butcher who lives in the village of Al Firdiss. "We just want to live in peace."
Peace? Whodda thunk it?

Evidently shooting the crap out of some people can change their perspective. Trouble with the Palestinians is that they obviously haven't been shot-up enough yet.

Here's some video of the IDF killing a couple more terrorists. I doubt the former terrorists were top leaders or anything, but you gotta give the IDF a few points for style on this one.

What you guys need to remember is that Lebanon is 40+% Christian. Aside from the frustration of Israel bombing bridges in the Christian areas of Lebanon, a lot of these Christians were cheering on Israel in their war against Hezbollah in 2006.
so.. it is possible this man felt that way well before the 2006 war.

It might also be that the common Palestinian is looking at what Hamas, Fatah, and the PLO have done to 'improve' their lives for the last 50 years, and are thinking they can't stand much more 'help' of that kind...

Want peace? Get a few guys together and take out your local Hezbollah representative. Then use the mortar you find in the classroom he was occupying to take out his friends.

As an Arab I am ashamed that Arab kids can not be worth more than to be butchered by Hezbollah and HAMAS tactics in order to parade them on TV stages, I watch Al Jazeera, those photos of blooded children ore shocking, shocking that Arab leaders never seem to blame the real culprit, the radicals supported by Iran and Syria of course.
We in the Arab world have got to stop the maddness of obsessive Jew hatred especially in drama language like shouting: "genocide" and "massacre" on every battle we lose.
We will start understanding these terrorists' tactics when the militants wil start applying these "successful" (human shields) methods in our own backyard, when Jordan (Egypt, for example, etc.) will have to deal with extremists causing scores of kids to die, what will WE do then? blame whom?
