Sad news from the Romney camp:
In a message from our Illinois State Senator Dan Rutherford, who was Gov. Mitt Romney's Campaign Manager for President in Illinois; comes this news:I wanted you to know that Ann Romney was recently diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Media reports have Mitt saying she is doing well after undergoing a lumpectomy.
In a statement issued to the press, Ann said, "While this is commonly referred to as early-stage breast cancer, it is technically not cancer, but rather precancer, as it is not invasive."
I'm glad to hear that Ann is doing well, but the news of cancer is never easy to bear. Please join me in keeping Ann as well as the entire Romney family in your thoughts and prayers.

Well, I hate to make a cheap poltical remark at a time like this, but I have to admit it was the second thing that popped into my head:
If you were Edwards it would be time to ramp up an affair.
This first was: This is horrible. My wishes for her and the family. I know one person who died of it and one who will be dead of it soon.

Sounds like she had Ca-in-situ which is "precancerous." Odds are great she'll do well and has little risk of becoming an victim. Doesn't make the surgery and whatever additional therapy prescribed any easier, however.
