Due to circumstances that should have been within my control, I've been offline since Tuesday -- and don't expect to be back online until Friday, when I take a brief weekend trip to observe the latest anniversary of my birth.

You're not getting older, you're getting better!
When I reached a milestone birthday some time back, I got really depressed. I laugh at that now, over 3 decades later. I was SO young to be feeling old.
The way I see it, if you're bothered by your birthday and getting older, at least you have the clear mind to know it's your birthday and how old you are.

I married a gal 2 yrs older than me, so until they perfect the cryo-stasis chamber, she'll always be my "old lady". heh
