YES! Spread it far and wide. I never send "links" to friends of mine (I always resent the multitude I receive in my inbox from well-meaning friends) - but this one I did send to one of my dyed-in-the-wool blue liberal friends. "Hoping" to "change" her mind in the last few days...

Come on now. Don't you know that using Obama's own words and his actual record are just distractions!
/scarc off
In all seriousness Obama's own words are the most damning evidence in making the case against him. It's a shame the press doesn't bother to report any of that.

The supposed 'proof' is that Obama didn't respond to the lawsuit - and that's it. Sorry - I dislike him a lot, but I'm not about to charge into tinfoil hat territory over this.

JLawson, then please help by signing the petition for him to submit the embossed COLB. It's not "tinfoil hat territory" if the dems are requesting protection from release of the docs until after the election. A lawsuit has also been filed against the people behind the forged cert posted online. No one has proven to the U.S. citizens that he is a citizen. The tinfoil hat belongs to the ones that ignore this, and Obama's dubious behavior.

I agree with what McCain said in that video, Steve. I'd bet most people do.
HOWEVER, there is a BIG difference between the wealthy paying more taxes than the less weathly (as they do to a very great extent now and will continue to do after McCain is elected) and taxing the weathly to give the money to the less wealthy as Obama the Marxist wants to do.
I can now see how you leftists can deny that you're Marxists, however, if you lack the intellect, logic, and reasoning ability to not see that simple obvious truth.

I'm glad to hear that you agree with McCain when he said it's not socialist for the wealthier to pay higher taxes. Do you also agree with McCain's earlier stance against Bush's tax cuts for the rich?
It seems that McCain decided continue to push Bush's tax cuts and to expand upon them when he realized that he would gain the support of libertarian-leaning Republicans. Now he is pandering to them excessively because its his last card to play in this campaign.
But the bottom line is that both Obama and McCain are currently framing their tax plans as policies that will help the working and middle class. What really counts is whose plan will actually help. Lets take a minute to consider the phrase 'spread the wealth around'. McCain could quite easily have used that phrase to explain his tax plan. (It's possible that he did at some point and it may turn up soon).
What if McCain had said, "My friends, I want to cut the taxes of the wealthy so that they can create jobs for middle class and working class Americans. I want to grow the wealth of the already wealthy so that they can SPREAD THAT WEALTH around by creating jobs and transmitting some of that wealth to the middle class and working class through jobs."
Now, would anyone have second guessed his statement? Would anyone have jumped on the phrase spread the wealth around in that case? No. Obama's campaign wouldn't have attacked the phrase, they would explained that cutting taxes even more for the wealthy will not help to create jobs and would have shown that McCain's argument is false and misleading. They would have shown that most small businesses are not making more than 250,000. This is what they've already done.
Now... McCain has jumped on a phrase of Obama's to suggest that he wants to steal from the rich and give to the poor, suggesting that he's a socialist. This is ridiculous. Obama simply wants to help the middle and working class by giving them a tax cut which he believes will help our economy and help the people. Yes there is a hope of leveling the playing field a little bit here, and what is wrong with that? What is wrong with ACTUALLY helping small businesses by giving them the tax cuts they deserve? Why should the wealthy get more tax cuts when it has not been shown that such cuts actually translate to more jobs? Just look at what has happened under Bush verse Clinton. Obama simply wants to have the wealthiest bracket pay as much as they did under Clinton (back when the economy was good). So, to paint Obama as marxist is stupid.

Steve, how familiar are you with Obama's tax plan? Hmmm? Tell us about Obama's plan for marginal tax rates for say, those who make between $25k and $45k. Tell us what his plan is in regards to refundable and non-refundable tax breaks. What exemptions will fall what into which category? What about mortgage interest deductions? What's the cap? How about the alternative minimum tax? What's his plan for it?
"Why should the wealthy get more tax cuts when it has not been shown that such cuts actually translate to more jobs?" Really? Is that why more than 25 developed countries have cut corporate tax rates since 2001? Next you'll tell us that a lower capital gains tax will result in less income for the government.

You're building a strawman here. Rich paying more taxes is not socialism. The government "spreading the wealth around" is. That is the definition of Marxism actually.
"Do you also agree with McCain's earlier stance against Bush's tax cuts for the rich?"
Yes, I agree with McCain that the tax cut legislation should have included corresponding spending cuts.
The rest of your post is just stupid. Businesses creating jobs (McCain) is Capitolism- a very good thing. Government taking from the wealthy and giving to the less wealthy (Obama) is Marxism- a very bad thing. It's that simple and all the straw man arguments you can build will not change that fact.

It might help if you say how much the 'middle class' earns a year and how much the 'working class' earns a year.
How much do the 'working class' pay in federal taxes now? None? Do they actually get money 'back' from Uncle Sam?
