That's all they got? Not ready to lead because of verbal gaffes? That doesn't pass the snicker test, especially compared to Bush and Sarah "I read all newspapers" Palin.

After 8 years of the left going ape over W's gaffes, I find it amazing how quickly it no longer matters to you.
Kinda like military service... it only matters to the left when their guy has it.

brian - "That's all they got? Not ready to lead because of verbal gaffes? That doesn't pass the snicker test, especially compared to Bush and Sarah "I read all newspapers" Palin."
Actually no, we have Biden voting no on the 1991 Iraq war, yet voting yes to Bush's version when someone, anyone decided to clean up the mess that Colin Powell advised, and Bush I agreed, not doing in '91.
"We" also have Biden being an advocate of partitioning Iraq along ethnic lines.
Biden has generally followed the voting pattern of the George McGovern-Ted Kennedy wing of the Democratic Party, i.e. the liberal far-left.
etc...etc...

Oh, how [no so]shocking, something you didn't see.
BTW do you have an alternative response Palin could have offered for the "newspaper question?"
I doubt it and the problem is, for example, if her response was "yes I read the NYT and B Globe," the meme started by the child-like and actual children would be "SEE... Palin disagrees with the 'wing-nuts' and reads those EVIL, BIASED newspapers."

You don't need her for that. Most of the posts from the right on Wizbang cite "those EVIL, BIASED newspapers". Jay himself would post much less if it wasn't for the Boston Globe.
The problem with Palin is that she repeatedly fails the "name one" test. Name one reform McCain was responsible for. Name one incident of your foreign policy experience. Name one command decision you've made over the Alaska National Guard. Name one newspaper or magazine you read. Name one SCOTUS case you disagree with.
She can't do it. There's no there there.

This is too much like the '04 elections asking someone why they would vote for Kerry and they couldn't tell you why without saying "Bush".
Yeah, Biden will make a great prez if Obama leaves the building (or even if he doesn't). I can just see him gaffing his way through UN gatherings. Actually, I'd pay for that entertainment.

I see you avoided the question... so again what would a palatable response have been to a question about her reading material?
The problem is the automatic negative her response was judged as, not a single brain cell was used to consider it was possible she didn't want to "name names" with the idea of not endorsing, or condemning, any single paper/media outlet.
That's just NOT possible in many circles, what is possible is some misguided belief she can name a paper because she doesn't read any, or is so reading challenged she can't. It's childish BS.
I stand by my statement, and you'll continue to avoid the question.

Bush's gaffes are not nearly of the scope of this guy's. He's an utter idiot, a windbag. He has experience all right, experience in being wrong on every issue.
It's funny how this guys gaffes are virtualy unknown to the general public, while sarah palin makes a joke and the media is all over it. you idiots on the left have no sense of humor unless it involves a pro-infanticide candidate.

brian - a context you would never admit to, i.e. when Palin was asked about other Supreme Court decisions she just simply forgot, because that wasn't the case only a month ago she knew very well and expounded on the EXXON decision.
As stated earlier, to those of your ilk it's just not possible for her to do anything right. She has zero leeway to forget, freeze-up or simply not answer a gotcha question (what papers do you read).
But.... BUT, Biden can claim the preponderance of TV coverage in 1929 and remarkably get a pass.
