I am only posting this so that none of the guys do it first and get accused of being sexist. I don't care who accuses me of being sexist. I thought it was interesting that the announcer mentioned Palin's involvement in student politics. (Hat tip: STACLU blog.)
Update: Forgot to mention it earlier, but Obama and Biden are going to be here in NC tomorrow. Since the polls here have tightened I am hoping we will get a visit from McCain and Palin at some point.

Yet another reason she gets my vote! Seriously - she can do it all. Remember the old Enjoli commercial: she can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan...etc.

Wow, the potential Vice President of the United States in a swimsuit.
Yeah, Caribou Barbie is hot. She's also an idiot, as shown by all of her limited press contact.
Put a fork in this campaign, it's beyond done.

Let's all get our heads together and see how much we can trivialize this election...
If it was published by Daily Kos, your story line would be "Is there anything the contemptible left won't do to rescue the desperate Obama campaign?" And you would be right.
Pretty stupid, Lorie, and I usually agree with you.

Palin came in second place in the beauty contest. The first place winner was an African-American.

Do you really think there is anything to worry about? After all Palin has more experience then Obama and is just as good if not better a speaker. McCain is a genius for choosing her. All naysers are sexist pigs.

I think her best shot for the debate would be to come out in the swimsuit and walk/wiggle around the stage a bit on her way to the podium. Hey, it could work. And it fits right in with McCain's loose cannon approach to his campaign.

Does anyone here know WHY Sarah entered that pagent? Hmmm?
Because, her parents expected her and her siblings to pay their own way through college. It was just another way for her to get college money and she endured the ribbing from her own siblings on this accord.
I love the way the Leftcult thinks she's an "idiot" while dutifully ignoring Joe "FDR was a 1929 TV star" Biden.

Cockroach, you poor thing, just because she was a runner up and you see her in a swim suit, you think see is capable of being the second in charge, please. So what, she was the governer of Alaska, she has a degree in journalism that qualifes her? I don't think so. Alaska, wow. As for a better speaker than Barrack, you need to listen to the speeches again. I can run for VP if this lady is qualified. Oh by the way McCain is a lot of things but a genuis he is not.

The VP debates should be interesting but no matter what happens in them it's not going to change my mind who I plan to vote for Pres.
It is clear to me who is the leader.
I just hate the biased media's interpretation afterward / them telling us what the candidates said (many times doing a twist to the words or leaving some vital info out). I guess they think Americans are dumb and need to be told what they were told. In my opinion news should be impartial and report the news facts only. I understand if it is noted as an opinion piece or commentary that's different.
I noticed several times the people that speak after a debate dont even talk about anything mentioned in the debates or speeches.
... most of us do know what to expect from which channels.
news and voting:
I even hate the news interrupting with the vote stats and only a few percentages are in. They should wait until ALL the polls have been closed in the entire country and the results confirmed before making any Pres winning announcements. It just seems very wrong they do this.

Being a contestant in a beauty pageant is one more feather in Palins experience cap. A lot of qualities that made Palin an exceptional beauty contestant will make her an excpetional president.
1. Ability to think fast when asked difficult questions.
2. Ability to express poise under duress without blinking!
3. Ability to get people to vote for you based on charm. Palin won a congeniality award.
McCain's genius is his ability to connect the dots and choose a beauty contestant as his running mate. Who else would have even thought about picking Palin but a maverick? An elitist democrat would have choose one of those know-it-all types that went to one of those hard to get into schools or someone involved with national issues for decades. But McCain knows that's not what the people want. The people want someone like them, that they can relate to.
Her openness and total honesty, which is evident by very deep religious beliefs, more than make up for any short comings Palin may have. I have never met anyone that believes, follows and promotes the word of God as literally as Palin.
As president, having a beauty contestant as VP, McCain will be the envy of government leaders all over the world!
Could choosing beauty contestants become a trend in republican politics? Quite possibly. Miss Minnesota, Angela McDermott was chosen to perform at the Republican National Convention. Could she be the next republican rising star? If I were a betting man, my money would be on her. Miss Minnesota minored in International Studies at the University of Minnesota. That makes her a heavy hitter when it comes to foreign policy!
That my friend, is the genius of John McCain.
