"My friends, my friends (squints at the teleprompter) my friends I thought I would share this with you tonight before I crash."
UPDATE: Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart said Thursday night that Universal Music Publishing and Sony BMG have sent a cease and desist notice to the McCain-Palin campaign over their use of 'Barracuda.'
"We have asked the Republican campaign publicly not to use our music. We
hope our wishes will be honored," the group said in a statement that said they "condemn" the use of the song at the Republican convention.

Well, that condemnation and a fiver will get 'em a latte at Starbucks. Yay for them. (Shrug.)
Oh, the outrage. Oh, the horror. Oh, the terrible possibility that they MIGHT be thought of as conservative! This cannot be borne!
I'll add it to my list of things to get incensed about. Let's see... scheduling... Is, um, 2018 good for you? June? The 31st? I think I can squeeze in five minutes then....
Seriously - the speech was good. Started slow, closed with a bang. Guy's proud and grateful to be where he is today, puts out the idea of service before self, more than willing to be bi-partisan, wants solutions that work for all - it was a good speech.

The AP fact check of McCain's speech is hilarious. Every single item they pick out they confirm is true, but then go on to try to nuance it so it makes the left look better. Classy!
