According to a flash poll conducted by the Washington Post, Biden as Obama's VP doesn't change the minds of 75% of those polled:
Barack Obama's choice of Joe Biden as his running mate is unlikely to shake-up the presidential horse race. In a new Washington Post-ABC News poll completed last night, three-quarters of voters said picking Biden would not sway their votes one way or the other. And about as many said they would be more apt to support Obama with Biden on the ticket as said the choice would make them less likely to vote Democratic on Election Day (13 to 10 percent).
In other words, Obama's choice of Joe Biden does nothing to help him or to excite the base. Those delegates who are Hillary supporters are still going to vote for her at the convention.
The only real winner here is Joe Biden, who has quite an ego. Now he'll be all over television. He'll have motorcades everywhere he goes. And he'll be able to talk until the cows come home.

So, let me get this straight. Add a man to your ticket that has accused US military troops falsely of atrocities and this will help you gain votes amongst the conservatives, many of who serve now, or served in the past in the military? How is that agian?

Best comment I've seen: With Biden on the ticket, no matter which party is in the White House, an old white guy will be taking that 3 AM phone call.

I'd say that letting him run his mouth till the cows come home may be a good thing. He shoots from the lip, usually hitting himself in the foot time and time again.
Its going to be comedy gold watching these two grease the skids to oblivion with their empty speech's. I advise getting a few keyboards, a monitor shield to prevent food and drink accidents and plenty of popcorn.

Look at the "bright" side.... with Biden (65 years of age) on the ticket it should, I repeat should, mitigate all the "old jokes" offered by the talk show hosts and Obamaites aimed at McCain.

I read that Biden's net worth is around $100K to $150K. That should be a signal to a lot of people that are thinking of voting for Obama and Biden. After 35 years in the Senate, making good salary and everything else, makes you wonder about his economics skills.
Obama, by choosing Biden just tells the world how insecure, lacks the skills, lacks the knowledge and lacks the experience to be the next president.
Biden is not going to run the government, but Obama is so any and all experience of Biden will not help him beat McCain, nor when the White House.
Obama should have chosen Hillary Clinton for his VP, then it would have been a "slam dunk", but now it will be Obama's down fall!
