Laura Ingraham, filling in for Bill O'Reilly, issued a news alert saying that there's activity going on outside Joe Biden's home. That was followed by another Fox News alert that says the media is now "awaiting news on Obama's VP pick," giving the impression something will be announced at any moment.
Update: Obama's text message will go out tomorrow morning.
Update 11:45 p.m. (Lorie): More evidence saying Biden's the guy. When I think of Biden I can't help but think of the "Policy Guy Rosary Joe Chucklehead Biden" post at Ankle Biting Pundits.
Does this mean that now it is okay to refer to a black person as "articulate and bright and clean?"
Update 1:00 a.m. (Lorie): The AP reports Biden. I guess it is officially official now.

I'm with Bruce - the Eternal Campaign has worn me down to the point where I just do NOT care about Obama's running mate. He's not on my 'short list' of people I'd vote for, no matter WHO he gets as VP.
The only way I'd vote for him is if he immediately and publically committed himself IRREVOCABLY to getting the Fair Tax passed. That'd pop a few heads off on the far left, to be sure. But pigs with wings will fly over Saudi Arabia under their own power before THAT happens.
But P. Bunyan's right - there is a method to this. I think it's to get people so damn tired of all this political garbage that they tune out the REPUBLICAN convention and just plain ignore anything other than the Democrats.
And maybe - they'll just refuse to show up on election day.

The announcement will be tomorrow (actually - now, this) afternoon, here in Springfield.
I tried doing a trackback ping to this entry, from my latest blog post (which links here), but it did not work.
Maybe if I had used Kevin's manual trackback pinger (if that page still exists), it would have.
