The new columnist at the Wall Street Journal--and author of the book What's the Matter With Kansas?--wrote a commentary earlier this week, "Our Great Economic U-Turn," that basically said the economic boom of the past quarter century was a "man-made catastrophe." This is why Republicans voted present The Democrats attempted to make the wealthy pay a new tax, a "patriot premium," Democrats argued that it was time for wealthy Americans to share in the sacrifice that troops are making in Iraq. Because it just wasn't fair for poor uneducated people like Matthis Chiroux in the above link to have to serve while their rich counterparts feast on filet mignon adn go to ivy league schools. I was a poor white boy and they conned me into joining the military. After 'six' years I turned traitor. Just a few words he left out. Sounds like he's still dumber than a box of rocks.
