Ha ha ha ha, So I live in Reno, NV and tonight the COWARDS from Westboro Hate Cult showed up to the memorial for Bri (all 3 of them) and they left about 20 minutes later...ha ha ha in a Police cruiser at that...ha ha ha They held up signs that made me sick to my stomach! I cannot beleive how sick these inbreds are!

I live here in Lawrence, Ks, and it's just a short drive over to Topeka. I can't stand living so close!! I've seen ass-faced Phelps at our University graduations, and he is as stupid as he looks.
I'm embarrassed that he's in my state.

Anybody know where they get their financial support? The whole "church" is just one (literally) inbred family of a few dozen. It should be relatively easy for a concentrated effort to ruin them financially. I have yet to find ANYONE who's on their side...

I am a born-againn Christian. I'm not perfect. Far from it. But I'll try to offer some perspective without being judgmental, jst truthful.

There are two words I have never heard or seen come out of mouths of Phelps or his spokes people (Namely his daughters who are quite obnoxious). Those words are "JESUS CHRIST". To the true Christian, salvation and repentance begins annd ends with Jesus. Not here to convert, just to state the basis for the belief. I could not have any credibility as a Christian and say "salvation is founded on Mohammed or Bhudda". People would know I was a fraud. The same can be said of what I don't say.

The same context is in play with Phelps and WBC. Their messages are devoid of love, faith, service, and humility. They don't feed the poor, or run a selter, or donate money or time to show the community the love of Christ. God within the Bible makes it clear that human history hinges on recognition of Christ. So, for a person to proclaim a message from God and the Bible, making every effort to antagonize everyone (Not in speaking the truth in love, but in being obnoxous and inflammatory) and consistently fail to reference the central Person of the Bible, indicates they are frauds, as far as being Christian messengers of God.

As to their doctrine, that every person who dies in this country is because of 5% of the population who are gay is flimsy. They say nothing of greed, or pride, or adulterers, or those who oppress the poor. It's all about the one trick pony of "Homosexuality". If that was the case, they would picket gay-related events only. Instead, they protest any event on the national stage to incite people, in the hopes the city/municipality will deny their protest permit or someone will assault them. They would then file suit, and hope to obtain a settlement, which is how the church/family/commune supports itself.

I personally think Phelps and his daughters are possessed by demons. No seriously. I saw his daughter interact with a person filming a documentary on the WBC, and her mannerisms were pure evil. She was not even talking about their philosophy, but their property situation. She was devoid of any sense of humility or gentleness. And seemed contemptuous of the reporter who was neither gay or a supporter of the war in Iraq.

These people are kooks! They are also hypocrits. This Shirley Phelps Roper has an illegitimate son and the family has members who have divorced remarried..all of with they preach to others that they will go to Hell for. Fred Phelps was a drug addict in the 60's and beat his children mercilessly when they were children. They are Kooks! Period. Yeah, I was pretty much in the mood to hit someone in the face when I showed up to the counter-protest, but when I saw that the WBC was represented by three fat, middle-aged women - well, it's not like I'm going to punch one of them. Hell, if we hadn't even bothered with the counter-protest, I don't know that anyone would have noticed them. They stood on a corner in a snowstorm and held tiny signs up to crawling traffic for about 20 minutes. Probably less than 50 cars passed. A lot of fury over, really, not much at all.

Would it be too hard to train an army of chimps to throw their feces at phelps and his herd? Everytime these scumabgs show up somewhere we trot out the chimps and have them fire away. What will the coppers do...arrest them?
