Nope.
San Francisco:
Guns, crack cocaine fuel homicides in San Francisco,
Highest number of killings in over a decade
The prevalence of guns and an uptick in the crack cocaine trade are fueling homicides in San Francisco, which in 2007 recorded its highest number of killings in more than a decade.Of the 98 homicides in 2007, the biggest share took place in the city's violence-plagued Bayview neighborhood, and more than half of all the victims killed were black men.
Doesn't San Francisco have strict "gun control" measures?
So, what gives?

No surprise the biggest share of violence was in the Bayview district (more widely and aptly known by locals as "Hunters Point"). For decades, it has been the center of gang violence.
As long as the violence doesn't spread to Nob Hill, the Marina, the Castro, etc. the S.F. Board of Dupes won't give a damn.
Ironically, the district is located right next to the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard--yet another group the Board of Dupes could give a damn about: the military.

Yes, but there's no border fence preventing people from importing guns from Oakland.

The real reason is the incompetent city/county government and poorly led police force that San Francisco has.

And yes we liberals want to make sure that no law-abiding citizens can own guns so that it is safe for the criminals to import guns from Oakland.

"Prevalence of guns" What in the world caused this prevalence of guns? Were there just so many of them laying around on the street that people started picking them up and shooting others? It is sad that having so many guns makes people bad for no good reason!

True to his shameless nature, Brian now has joined the NYT in slandering the veterans again. NYT has been caught red-handed lying again. But Brian will be happy to propagate a lie. Just like 2nd nature to him.

You are right. Someone must be really shameless to do what Brian has done here. BTW, the liberal paper of record has been caught red-handed in another lie:
THE KILLER-VET LIE . No wonder the liberal left cannot be honest about who they are.

That's what I was talking about LA I, I thought somebody was jokingly refering to that typical smear of our troops by the Times (all the news that's fit to slant).
As soon as I saw that a Marine was wanted for murder, I looked forward to their 84 part series on how our veterans from the War on (Some) Terror are almost as murderous as Vietnam vets. If I had no shame and no conscience, I too could be a write for the NY Times.
And yes, I know that the Vietnam Vets were slandered as well. It's what they do.
