Today's winner is the Palm Beach Post editorial board. In a editorial titled 'Voter ID law is a fraud', my hometown newspaper wrote-
Not to sound cute, but those who favor Indiana's law and others like it can't ID any case of voter-identity fraud that the law might prevent. Not to make Randy Schultz(Editor of the Post editorial page and someone I frequently email with) and company sound dumb and careless, but I'll do it anyway, I'll point out this Seattle PI article from 2005.
At least eight people who died well before the November general election were credited with voting in King County, raising new questions about the integrity of the vote total in the narrow governor's race, a Seattle Post-Intelligencer review has found.A ID check would have shown the person voting wasn't the 81-year-old. How hard was it to find this Seattle PI article(A paper with a decidely liberal slant like the PB Post)? About a minute after google searching the words- 2004 washington governors race voter fraud. The evidence of votes from dead people is the latest example of flaws in an election already rocked by misplaced votes and allegations that there were thousands more votes counted than actual voters.
County officials say they are investigating the cases pointed out by the P-I. "These are not indications of fraud," said Bill Huennekens, King County's elections supervisor. "Fraud is a concerted effort to change an election."
The P-I review found eight people who died weeks before absentee ballots were mailed out, between Oct. 13 and 15, but were credited with voting in King County. Among them was an 81-year-old Seattle woman who died in August but is recorded as having voted at the polls.
Note- I disagree with Mr. Hunnekens. How is a vote cast by a person who is misrepresenting themselves as someone, not an effort to alter an election? The voter is casting a vote in order to help someone win an election, that they may not have if the candidate didn't get this vote.
As I've pointed out in the past, the Post editorial page has had a hard time keeping up with events in Florida, alone 3,000 miles away. They should do a little more research before putting out their editorials, I've caught them in slipups on a regular basis since I began blogging almost three years ago.
The Palm Beach Post editorial board is today's Knucklehead of the Day. So is everyone happy that I picked on a liberal now?

Libertarians are next right ?
Happy ? A scorecard of Conservative vs Liberal Knucklehead awards is hopefully not the point.
Give Knucklehead awards to every Knucklehead (there may not be enought time in the day) no matter what their political slant and I'll read every one. We can always go to the Daily Kos to see wall to wall critiques of Conservatives and Red State for wall to wall critiques of Liberals.
On the other hand ...
I would think your pulpit could be better used writing about issues where we can get a sense of your opinion and the thought process behind it. Sniping at Knuckleheads seems like fun but take it from a Comments sniper, its pretty thin gruel.
I'm sure you have opinions and arguments to back them up, how about a peek ?

This is, I think, the first one I would agree is a knucklehead.
Your definition obviously includes much more than mine.
