Yesterday, I posted about an email I received from a Ron Paul supporter saying that Fox News excluded Paul from its pre New Hampshire primary debate. I also linked to a Yahoo report that said the same thing. Amazing the difference a day makes. Today we learn that the story is untrue.
One of the hazards of instant mass communication is that incorrect stories can get distributed immediately. A particular hazard during holiday vacations. There is NO NH DEBATE on January 6th. Ron Paul was NOT EXCLUDED. That event was canceled three weeks ago.
Ron WILL participate in the January 5th ABC/WMUR GOP debate in New Hampshire.
As LGF notes, however, this little tidbit of information isn't enough to stop the Paulbots from trying to punish Fox News anyway.

I remember when Tom Gorman ran for US Senate from Virginia, he described himself as "a 'lower-case l' libertarian." Queried about why he was so specific, he noted, "I don't want to be associated with the nutty beliefs of the 'capital L' Libertarians!"
Most of them are well-meaning people with a little - but not enough - knowledge about economics, the Constitution, and the actual "Libertarian" belief set. Unfortunately, the movement has always attracted a certain share of the anti-semitics, racists, conspiracy theorists, and anarchists. Paul is adding more of those latter categories.
Personally, the presence of such extremist nuts - without repudiation - is enough to ensure I would NEVER vote for Paul for dogcatcher or anything else.
It's these weirdos who spread the viral rumors and stuff the online polls. Then, they get mad when serious people dismiss them as flakes.

"Skip ahead to December 27th, when the Union Leader reported that all candidates had agreed to the ABC/WMUR debate and reporter Garry Rayno added a confusing paragraph about Giuliani finally agreeing to the (canceled) January 6th forum, which had already been converted into a simple state GOP brunch.
Due to the timing of this article, there was no way to confirm who will or won't attend the brunch, but it is not a broadcast debate and has nothing to do with FoxNews. Nevertheless, a blog in Washington picked up the story, scrambled it and their "BHDC Staff" reported a list of the candidates who would be attending, which did not include Ron Paul (he hadn't officially confirmed, due to the conflict).

I just trolled through the Ron Paul forums.
What a nasty bunch. They are planning a collective attempt to shut Fox news web site down, a collective attempt to manipulate New Corp. stock price and stuff on line polls to give the illusion Ron Paul is bigger than he really is.
They are getting the information that the whole story from the beginning is bogus, but their reaction is "so what", we still hate Fox News so let's cause trouble anyway.
This reminds me of the stories about the Howard Dean supporters who would show up at people's homes dressed like they were on their way to a bong-a-thon, then started to get angry at mid-western housewives and little old ladies who didn't nod in agreement, then scaring the crap out of them.
Here's a clue for you militant Ron Paul supporters. Even open minded people will not look at your candidate if you are going to be assholes.
In fact I hope their little devious plans backfire.
No comment from Ron Paul to his supporters to tone it down. I'm sure he has to know what's going on in these forums and what their plans are. Silence is the proverbial "wink-wink".
Look for this soon.....

PaulBot delusions aside, the same is going to happen again. The Deaniacs were all talk and zero action when it came time to actually pull a lever the meant something.
They can squawk and crow about raising cash all they care to, in the end it will be a meaningless exercise and someone (or everyone) within the Paul organization will come out with more cash than they went in with after a bit of skimming is done.

Most of Paul's constituency are "9-11 Troofers" ever since he said he would like to open another investigation to a Troofer Convention.
These loons are real zealots in support of their cause, so no doubt most of his money comes from the same people over and over, but it will not translate into a viable candidacy because as I recall, everyone gets only one vote each.
His attracting big time BDS sufferers is still a bit of an enigma since his platform is very, very right wing and is no way socially lefty.
Maybe like a battered woman whose man brings home a nice pay check they'll stick around in hopes of changing him over time.
Ron Paul supporters will stick around too for a beating as long as he brings home the 9-11 investigation.

Fox News has shown itself to be non-objective in its reporting style. They tend to be pro-war and have a pro-neoconservative agenda. I used to watch FOX News until the war and then I couldn't stomach it.
Apparently, they have not included Ron Paul in the upcoming debate as of yet:
http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2007/12/ron_paul_indeed_outfoxed_for_n.html
Assuming that the above is true, no one denies the fact that they have every right to invite whomever they want to their roundtable, but it does leade me to question their "fair and balanced" motto even further.
Here are two articles explaining why the gold standard would make sense:
http://www.mises.org/money.asp
http://www.mises.org/rothbard/genuine.asp
I find it funny to hear the statement: "what a nasty bunch Ron Paul supporters are" when whenever I have made some comments or had some disagreements on some other forums, I was called names, told to get an education, said I was responsible for the Nazis killing the Jews (I didn't make this up believe me), told I was rude, etc. Ron Paul supporters are called schizophrenic, Paultards, kooks, Nazis, etc.
Based on this, I would say that people who are against Ron Paul are much nastier than the people are for Ron Paul, but I don't want to make generalizations. Why not just discuss the issues and avoid the name calling?

Here's your Gold Standard.
Now do the math, multiply the amount of gold ever mined by the current (inflated) price of gold and compare that to the U.S. budget.
You can't cover the cost asshat.
