The Anchoress says we should take those on the left up on their offer to impeach the President. I personally think it would be almost worth it just to be able to say President Dick Cheney, but the Anchoress is making a much better point. She went point by point through the Joy Behar list I quoted from in my Townhall column today. Read all of the Anchoress post -- I really wish I had written it.

Anyway, there is this really cool outfit called the secret service and they wear snazzy black suits and dark sunglasses and talk into these little "Britney mics" and they do security sweeps of the places the President visits so I am pretty sure the school was well secured. In fact, Clinton met with Monica more times than with some of his cabinet members.
I wonder what Clinton would have done on 9/11 had he been president. I wonder if he would have been in a school at all or might he have been in his office with an intern under the desk. When the second one hit, ~everyone~ knew what was happening.
President Bush spent some 5-7 minutes in the classroom then excused himself. Liberals can look into the past and claim they'd do better, but that's very disingenous. Bush derangement syndrome has taken them over, wholly and completely.

Not that you people seem to care about facts, but our intelligence agencies were not able to confirm during Clinton's presidency that AQ was responsible for the Cole. Once they did have the evidence, six days AFTER Bush took office, then the responsibility to respond fell on the former Governor of Texas, not Clinton. So if you want to complain about a lack of reponse to the Cole, direct your complaints to Bush.

Clinton listened to them. They said "we're not sure". Then when they said "we're now sure", it was Bush who didn't listen to them.

If you believe, as was reported at the time, that the President was a target, and that the Presidents agenda for the day was public knowledge that hiding in a school was in the best interest of the nation and the children?

Anyway, there is this really cool outfit called the secret service and they wear snazzy black suits and dark sunglasses and talk into these little "Britney mics" and they do security sweeps of the places the President visits so I am pretty sure the school was well secured. What was probably more risky was figuring out how to safely move him from there until all the planes had been grounded and/or accounted for. Don't you guys realize that when you start that "My Pet Goat" talk you only show how unserious you are about the subject. I think it is hilarious that some think Bush should be impeached because it took him a whooping seven minutes to stop reading a book after hearing the news on 9/11, but those same people thought it was okay for Bill Clinton to spend hours (on our dime in the Oval Office) having phone sex, as well cigar sex, with an intern while al Qaeda was plotting 9/11. In fact, Clinton met with Monica more times than with some of his cabinet members.
I wonder what Clinton would have done on 9/11 had he been president. I wonder if he would have been in a school at all or might he have been in his office with an intern under the desk. I guess as long as it took him less than 7 minutes to put it back in his pants it would have been cool with all those obsessing over My Pet Goat. I happen to believe he would have used those seven minutes to do the lip bite. That would have really accomplished a lot.

It is YOU who are playing Monday morning quarterback. All Bush knew was that two planes crashed into the WTC, and "America is under attack". Think back to that moment, and not today. Was it over? Is that it, just two planes? Are there two more inbound? Four more? Ten more? Is this going to happen to every major city in the US? What was the damage? Do I need to send FEMA? Don't you think Bush should have shown an interest in what was happening? Is "screaming into the hallway" the only option you think he had?
If you were told your house was on fire, would you just sit there thinking, "well, it's already burning, nothing I can do will change that"?

Not that you people seem to care about facts, but our intelligence agencies were not able to confirm during Clinton's presidency that AQ was responsible for the Cole. Once they did have the evidence, six days AFTER Bush took office, then the responsibility to respond fell on the former Governor of Texas, not Clinton. It matters not "where". The tragedy is that he's "mired" anywhere at all, rather than playing golf with Allah.

Brian, after the attacks on the embassies, who did you think attacked the Cole, the Green Bay Packers?
It was AQ. As confirmed by US intelligence agencies AFTER Bush took office.
I guess if you have a intelligence arm that you do not listen to, then you would not know.
Clinton listened to them. They said "we're not sure". Then when they said "we're now sure", it was Bush who didn't listen to them.
The Bush team was not up and running many days after he took office,
What fiction is this? Of course they were. Or do you think Bush STOPPED thinking about who should be in his cabinet while he fought Gore in court?
Besides, the NSA, CIA, US military, etc. were very much up and running the whole time. And however many extra days you think Bush needed to get "up and running", did he retaliate for the Cole then?

So Brian, what did Berger steal to give your version of history a chance? And what, pray tell, makes you think he stole it all? Historians can be maddeningly thorough, you know.

You think your so clever don't ya? You sound just like some other ignoramous who got "Bent" when he got caught telling telling lies. I believe his name was "Slick Willie" "Bubbu" "The Bent One" and "BJ" Clinton.
Brian , you and your party of Rats are resigned to tell endless lies because you cannot , will not and must not ever tell the truth. It spells the end of the party of criminal frauds. You know it , I know it and more and more people learn it with every passing day.
Democrats think they can rewrite history. They think they can change what we have seen , heard and experienced with all of our senses by spewing lies and putting them on paper.
Brian, do you still think you are so clever?

The Dems didn't want to combat bin Laden when they had the power, they had to let Bush get their grudging acquiescence to go to war, they don't want to finish the fight, well under way, and they won't want to continue it if they get back in power. They have been consistent, and the only way they come out of this winners is if the Muslims reject the Koran.
No wonder they're pushing third party candidacy for Ron Paul.
