Kevin and I are looking for a programmer who has some time in the next 48 hours to cause a bit of trouble... We need a small (preferably cross platform) application written to run on a workstation. (ie Windows .exe, Mac .app and perhaps *nix)
The pay is well.. probably close to nothing but I promise it will be a fun project and if you're looking to show off your mad coding skilz, you'll get lots of attention from this project. (I promise)
You must be able to tackle the job in the next few days and a sense of humor is helpful.
Apply within paul -at- wizbangblog.com
(BTW it's a small project but it must go live this weekend, Monday at worst)

mantis,
Wow! You've got punch cards!
In my day, all we had were bits of string and rocks. And we had to code for 20 hours a day without coffee or jolt.
And we liked it!

Sheik: I've got you beat. We had to physically carry electrons from one station to another.

What a bunch of pansies. I should have had it so good. Why, back in my day, we had to construct our own electrons out of quarks, thenA carry them one at a time to each computer.
That was the way it was, and we liked it that way!

Oh, and in order to contribute to the "Old Code Warrior" theme....
Punch cards!? Electrons? Quarks? Bunch of pansies... why back in my day all I had was a string and a spit bubble I had to blow back and forth to signal binary operations.
Only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
