Earlier today, Kim posted a clip of a Weird Al Yankovic video. While I enjoyed seeing it again (I have it on DVD), I was also somewhat annoyed. You see, I have been a Weird Al fan ever since his second album. I have them all, as well as 3 DVDs (Live In Concert, Video Collection, and UHF). The thought of someone ELSE around her posting Weird Al stuff bugged me.
So I feel the need to assert myself, to confirm that I am, indeed, the TRUE NERD of the place and that I above all others am entitled to post Weird Al stuff.
The video below is from the same album, and it is -- without a doubt -- the most emblematic Weird Al song ever recorded. The sheer hawtness of the dancers and the two comics who have cameos are mere icing on the cake.

Much better! (But why'd the video make fun of the guy for printing out a picture of Sarah Michelle Gellar? RIGHT! Save to CD and save ink!)

"What kinda chip you put in there? A Dorito?"
That's just good stuff, that is! LOL
I plead pop culture ignorance: What song is he spoofing? (One of the samples sounds like the lead singer from The Offspring.)

I dunno, I think his more recent "White and Nerdy" may top this one, though the energy here is pretty impressive.
I am a little lost about the second comic cameo. Drew Carey is pretty obvious, who is the second?

The song is "All About Da Benjamen's" by Puff Daddy (or P. Diddy) or whatever it is calling itself these days. Had to Google the "artist".

Jay, have you ever seen Weird Al live? If not...I highly recommend you do anything you need to do to see him, up to and including selling the kids for medical experiments.

Been there, done that, bought the T-Shirt -- the one with "Weird Al Inside" logo on the front, Al in full Gangsta mode from the "All About The Pentiums" on the back.
It was AMAZING.

I've been a "Weird Al" Yankovic fan ever since I heard "Another One Rides The Bus" on The Dr. Demento Show. This is the version her recorded in the bathroom across the hall from the college radio station he was working at the time. I managed to track down a 45 of "My Bologna" soon thereafter when I was a teen living in rural Mississippi (which was a feat in of itself since the closest "real" record store was over 2 hours' drive away - the only place to get records in the small town at that time was at the Ace Hardware store). And I've seen him perform live twice, both times in my college days in the 1980's.

Ahhh, I love that video, although I have to give a big thumbs up to White and Nerdy. I believe that he posted that to Youtube himself. Anyway, White and Nerdy so beats Pentiums . . . although Pentiums is excellent.
I love how some of the specs are still out of our reach today - he did a good job with exaguration ("I got me 100 Gigabytes of RAM!")
I also loved the fact that the concert was at COMDEX, which at the time the video was released, was a huge Geek conference where all the vendors would peddle their wares.
