Michael Yon is reporting about Iraq from Iraq, as opposed to reporting about Iraq not from Iraq. There is a big difference, as Yon points out to Glenn Reynolds.
Update: After viewing the Yon example of good journalism, check out an example of Euro propaganda that Dean Esmay suffered through. Highlights include segments on the Evil Cheney Halliburton and Our Friend, Saddam.

He is being real, Maggy. We've been carefully told that the price is way too high right now - and not told that delaying the cost now will lead to a much higher one later.
But that's okay - right? It'll be fine to expend ten or twenty times that number under a Democratic president, because then it can all be blamed on Bush!

Lorie,
this is OT, but I have something you could blog on if I could find a video clip of it online. in Pelosi's "Friends of God" "documentary" there is a scene near the end with a billboard sign and inside the letter "O" is a sillhoutte of an Abu Ghraib prisoner........I'm suprised I haven't seen any blogs on this yet, or on Newsbusters.org. Its obvious point in how Pelosi was trying to frame this "documentary"

Thank you for the link Lorie...especially powerful were the images of respect for the fallen..It is criminal that this administration has forbidden images of flag draped coffins coming into Dover.
His words how as encouraging things are, the opposite is just as possible are real...Mosul is where our son-in-law was shot by a sniper (not killed fortunately) in 2005...

Remember, the reason we hang out here..and more importantly with our real friends...at any given moment there is someone who makes us...for a bit seem rational...it may not last, but I will embrace jp as someone who allows me to appear rational.
...but I would add...it is just plain criminal that our govt has hidden "Jimmy's Secret War" from us for all these years...
jp...go to http://www.icasualties.org to read about Bush War deaths..don't forget to read hometown articles on the right...they give us glimpse beyond the numbers...

just as many troops died in service under Clinton than have under Bush, its a stupid media driven strawman argued by the ignorant.
look up military deaths in the "peace" period of the 90's, it was at it highest post-Vietnam under Jimmy Carter, clost to 3k in one year in late 70's
