Apparently, Boehner threatened Barton's position on the Energy & Commerce Committee if he didn't drop out and endorse his candidacy. That tells me Boehner isn't too confident right now.
The only problem was that Boehner released his statement praising Barton's endorsement ten minutes before Barton released his.
This, of course, makes me even more sure of my decision to endorse Mike Pence for House Minority Leader.
