For those who don't want to take the word of Republicans that Democrats have been the hypocritical ones on the subject of inappropriate relationships between congressmen and pages, just look at what those on the left are doing to conceal their past position on the subject. John Hawkins has the story of the "clean up" job someone at Daily Kos did to the Gerry Studds entry at Dkosopedia. It appears that before the Foley scandal broke, the entry described criticism of Studds relationship with the page as the "anti-gay crew (working) hard to demonize him." It doesn't now though.

You know the Left's reaction to the Foley incident will be rewritten the next time there's another Studds.

The entry appears to have been restored to its original data again.
"The anti-gay crew had worked hard to demonize him (as they would Barney Frank several years later over allegations of a male prostitute having clients in Frank's apartment)."

History is fungible provided your heart, i.e. political affiliation, is in the right place.
Saddam's Iraq had ties to terrorism and active WMD programs when Clinton bombed it without UN involvement in 1998. But in 2004 Iraq never had WMDs, never had ties to terrorism, and UN involvement was an absolute requirement for anything and everything in international affairs.
