I saw that sequence yesterday. I really had to laugh. Are they so stupid to think that no one will notice the guy walking all over the rubble was in the next shot a dead "victim"?
Not to mention, even if he was, the guy trying to pull him out is trying to pick up the body presumably by just pulling on his arm. Either physics is entirely different in Lebanon, or they even staged the staged shot poorly. The whole sequence is made to look like a Michael Bay film.
Did the photographer really get fired?

Oh, not that this is either here nor there...but in the shot where he's trying to pull the fake victim from the rubble...is that a small red flower by his left leg?

I didn't see anything about the photographer being fired. In fact, the problem appears to be that someone other than the photographer changing the caption that was supplied.

There's more than a caption problem here, Ted...unless of course the original caption said "here a man pretends to help up a man who pretends to be dead."
As far the the photographer being fired, I think I just took what Kevin said too literally, that's all.

The original caption said something about helping a fallen rescuer in the rubble (or something to that effect).
The photo looks staged, which is a whole 'nother issue, but the "dead guy" wasn't dead according to the photographer.

There ARE indeed standards for hiring a new photographer.
Not to shamelessly self-promote, but IMAO has a copy of the test administered to all new applicants.

No photographer ever gets fired. They simply grow more famous for having withstood a 'right wing attack'.
