The News has learned that at the request of U.S. officials, authorities in Beirut arrested one of the alleged conspirators, identified as Amir Andalousli, in recent months. Agents were scrambling yesterday to try to nab other suspects, sources said.

Odd though, that the administration chose to leak it to the New York Daily News instead of the New York Times. LOL - It just makes this ploy even more obvious....

I thought investigations take anywhere from weeks to years, for it to take only months ain't half bad. I thought the New York Post was the conservative one...I thought all the primaries were over and done with, so why would they leak it AFTER the primaries?
