Tonight, the Country Music Awards are airing on CBS.
Apparently, one of the performers will be Bon Jovi.
I don't know if it's the whole band or just Jon Bon Jovi, and I have absolutely no desire to find out, but either way I think they'll be seriously out of place.
And there better NOT be a rain of fire. Bullwinkle FINALLY got around to washing the Shaggin' Wagon.
Hey, Bullwinkle, what the hell happened to my roof rack?
This is what happens when you send a moose to do a man's job...

Actually, I saw Bon Jovi on a CMT (Country Music TV) special with Sugarland - a country group. They sounded great.
This doe snto seem that out of place to me.

they have a song on their new CD with the lead singer from sugarland... i'm sure that's what they'll sing. it's actually pretty good. JBJ has long been fascinated with cowboys... i think we all remember young guns 2. (whether we want to or not.)

I've a Chris LeDoux CD that Jon sang a duet on with Chris. Sounds pretty good really.
So I don't find this too surprising that he'd be on the CMAs.

Bon Jovi is a second sign; the fact that the CMA Awards are being held in NYC--a town with NO country radio stations--was the first indicator that something was seriously wrong.

I saw part of the Bon Jovi / Sugarland thing too. In the piece I saw, the lead singer of Sugarland (don't know her name) shamed Jon in terms of vocal quality and presentation - on one of his own songs. She nailed it, he sounded relatively weak and droll.

Jon Bon Jovi could never sound weak and droll. He's fantastic. Sugarland were proud to sing with him and i would be too. He's taleneted and gorgeous so stop being jealous...please....

News in country music circles says that Bon Jovi and Sugarland will be touring together next year. The fan mix oughta be interesting...if not volatile.

I heard Jon Bon Jovi once say that Al Gore should have won and we wouldn't be having all these terrorism problems if he had.
I've never looked at him the same way again. Who knew he was such an idiot?
