Oh my God, that's awesome.
As for it being the biggest collapse in MLB history, I guess that would be true to an extent.
As a Yankee fan, the biggest collapse, choke, whatever in history occured last October when the Yankees let the BoSox win 4 in a row after being up 3-0 in the ALCS, allowing Boston to go on and win the World Series.
THAT, my friend, is choking.
Sigh. Tthe single worst sports moment in my life...

REGULAR SEASON
The '64 Phillies is still the biggest regular-season choke in baseball. Up by 6 1/2 games with just 12 left, and lost! That's hard to do.
1995 Angels collapse to the Mariners, after being up as much 12 games in mid-August. It saved baseball in Seattle.
1978 Red Sox had a 14 game lead, tied for 1st, then lost playoff to...hello, Bucky Dent.
Do we write in the White Sox? Not just yet...
PLAYOFFS:
It just doesn't get any worse (or better) than...
2004 Yankees playoff collapse to Red Sox. Until the Cubs do something similiar, it is by far the greatest comeback/collapse ever, bar none.
Or, the '54 Giants sweeping the heavily favored Indians in the World Series. That's pretty good, too.

Of course, don't forget the 1951 NY Giants, 13 1/2 games behind the Dodgers in September, forced a one-game sudden-death playoff, which the Giants won off of Bobby Thompson's "Shot Heard 'Round the World."

As a Cleveland fan who has lived through The Drive (Broncos over Browns, 1986); the Fumble (Broncos over Browns, 1987); the Shot (Bulls over Cavs, @1989); and the Jose Mesa meltdown (Marlins over Indians, 1997 World Series); I think it is about time some other team chokes, and at MY team's hands!!!
