According to the Elias Sports Bureau, since the current three-division + wild card format was adopted 1995, 67 percent of the teams in first place on Memorial Day have gone on to make the playoffs.
That means of the six teams leading their divisions on Memorial Day this year -- the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles (formerly Anaheim) Angels in the AL; the Florida Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres in the NL -- two-thirds of them are likely to go to the playoffs as a division winner or wild card. Of course they'll have to win a few games between now and then to make those odd payoff...

Didn't "California Angels" kinda cover not just Anaheim and LA, but Sausalito, San Jose, San Diego, Sacramento, and Lone Pine?
I refuse to call them the LAD of A.
