Is Oliver Willis really that big of a moron or is this some kind of lefty blog torture?
Long story short - I give him all day to rectify the fact that was smart enough to send a trackback to this post of mine where he calls me "dumb," but fails to link to the post***. If he wants to call me "dumb," fine.. whatever, but OW readers had no way of actually reading the post he was referencing because it was not linked.
So all day I've got a link on my site directing readers to OW's site with the caption - Kevin Aylward Is Dumb, So Is Matt Margolis. In his post, poor hapless Oliver manages to spell my name correctly, but the target of the link associated with my name goes to the front page of his blog NOT my post. How he's able to correctly execute a trackback but utterly fail for half a day to produce a correct link to my post is beyond me.
So does Oliver fix his link and send another trackback?
No.
He fixes his link (pretending it was never wrong), then calls me a wussy for deleting his trackback.
I won't hold my breath for an apology...
***He can't read either. My post merely highlighted one pre-SOTU statement from Rep. Pelosi and several quotes from media pundits and major press coverage that related to her initial quote. I offered no analysis, argued no position - readers were invited to form their own opinion.

I am a longtime reader of wizbang, and from time to time will throw my two cents into the ring. I just recently started reading the childish drivel over at OW, and his bile makes my blood pressure go up quicker than the sound of my ex wife's voice.
I just posted a couple of comments over there, and I would be willing to start a pool to see how long it takes for them to be deleted, or to have me banned from the site.

Hey, is he still receiving a paycheck from Soros? One would think he would rethink how to spend his money since it didn't produce results.

The very best thing about this country tonight, February 3, 2005, is that people like Oliver Willis just don't matter any more.
They had their shot. They had a chance to persuade the voting public through bile and hatred, and they accomplished nothing. They can continue to spew bile and hatred all they want, and we have nothing to fear from them, because we all know beyond a shadow of a doubt that no one is listening to them.
Maybe somebody — somewhere — will come along to fill the vacuum created when the liberal members of the body politic spun off into never-never land. Maybe the people who arise to replace the Oliver Willises (and Markos Zunigas, and Michael Moores) of the world will be patriotic instead of perfidious. No one can say, but the mere potential to return this country to sincere public debate after a long, dark time of rage and derision is enough to fill me with childish glee.
A group that we feared had the power to do great harm to this country is passing away. It's a wonderful time to be alive.

Julie, for the moment, they are still there, under By the Numbers and Wussies.
I love how those on the left continue to attempt to marginalize themselves, and their liberal brethren keep patting themselves on the back.
How much longer until a new and viable third party forms ?

From time to time I check on Oliver's blog, and usually come away with a good laugh for my effort. Just seeing that "like kryptonite to stupid" claim is enough to do it. If the truth in advertisng laws were applied i think the Animaniacs motto of "dumber than advertised" might work better, but "like teflon to honesty" is my personal favorite. He may have heard of the word, he may have even seen it, but so far, somehow it hasn't stuck yet.

Why should this be any sort of surprise? Willis can't even be bothered to provide the source for this list. He stole it from DailyDean. Without a reference to the source, it makes it seem like the list is all Willis' work. Most dishonest.

I faithfully read Oliver's blog because I'm SURE that he can't really be that thick, and that he was just having a bad day. err, week. err, month. err, year.
In his defence, it looks like he just doesn't care any more and spends an hour a day on the thing just to keep the paycheck coming.
I certainly hope that's the case, anyway.

Sure you didn't. Kos' version was posted hours before your's and matches your's letter for letter, word for word. The only difference is the line breaks, which you either deleted or didn't copy correctly. There are also no other versions online that I can find.
So what was your source if it wasn't Kos, Oliver? Care to point it out to us?

When Oliver's traffic goes down, he picks a fight with people bigger than him (which is just about everyone now)
Having pissed off Glenn Reynolds to the point of not getting any more Insty-links, increasingly-irrelevant OW is now trying to generate traffic by pissing of the guys here at Wizbang.
Can't you see it's his MO?
Piss off bloggers bigger than you for links.
It's like some sort of passive-agressive link whoring.
Please stop giving OW attention.

I wholeheartedly approve of what Hob said. It's kind of a shame that we live in a time when attention is directly proportional to revenue — every hyperlink to Oliver's site puts advertising dollars in his pocket. That means that we can't really talk about him without lining his mattress.
