I have to say how impressed... (Below threshold)1. Posted by Jeff | October 24, 2004 5:30 PM | Score: 0 (0 votes cast)
I have to say how impressed I am that the Washington Post ran the story this way.
His evasion is far more damaging than almost any response Kerry could have attempted.
Maybe he was busy polishing his nuancer.

I took it the other way. It just sounds like a hit piece on Bush now. Woodward should have run the story as "Kerry would not meet" rather than go through all the questions. I didn't read all the questions and Bush's answers, but from the ones I did read (especially the Colin Powell input) that sounded detrimental to Bush.
Read the whole thing, and you'll see what I mean.

Wow! In the middle of a campaign, a candidate who is touring endlessly didn't grant an interview? That's unheard of. Well, except for Bush and Cheney, they do the tough interviews - oh wait, O'Reilly and Hannity don't count? Yeah, they are kind of infomercials.
I wrote Bush two letters once, and he never responded. Is he scared of me? Why does he hide from me? And why does the Axis of Evil support his presidency?

Yeah, JP, Bush is terrified of you. Heck, you make me quake in my boots. Look behind you! I think there's a couple of Secret Service agents who want to discuss your letters to the President. LOL.
