The Vail Daily News obtained a copy of the police interview with Kobe Bryant. You can read it here.
Here's a little tidbit:
Bryant: "... I can't believe this girl. What does she want from me?"He ended up paying - his wife got a multi-million dollar apology ring.
Winters: "I don't think she wants anything."
Bryant: "Are you kidding me?"
Loya: "What are you willing to give her?"
Bryant: "She has to want, she has to want something (inaudible) she has to want something."
Winters: "What do you mean she has to want something? I don't understand."
Bryant: "She has to have a, she has to have a motive, to do, she has to have a motive to do this."
Winters: "What would be, what do you think her motive is, then?"
Loya: "Are you willing to pay that if she is?"
Bryant: "I got to. I got to. I'm in the worst f**king situation."

When he was first arrested ... (Below threshold)1. Posted by foreign devil | October 19, 2004 12:13 AM | Score: 0 (0 votes cast)
When he was first arrested he said he "didn't have sex with that woman" (or maybe that was somebody else?) and then he said, well, "Yes" he did have sex with her "but it was consensual". Right then I knew he was lying. Too bad though, the wife gets the 'apology ring' and the victim gets victimized. And every man in America thinks she did it because he's a SPORTS HERO and he wouldn't do something like that, would he? And even if he did...well...he's a SPORTS HERO so what of it? And the victim gets revictimized. And now everytime a woman is raped in America, and especially if it's some guy who's famous, well...what's the point of going to the cops...or anyone for that matter? If you think it's bad now that you've been raped...just wait till you complain about it and see what can happen. Then you'll really be dragged over the coals and a whole new meaning will be given to the term "rape"!
