Very funny. But he raised a question that I just wondered about.
Maybe your team knows.
BlogforBush linked Byron York's piece in NRO.
And Killian had previously praised Bush.
Did the forger pick Killian because he's the only one deceased or was this just another foolish choice they made, as his son and widow contest the documents?

Obviously we'll probably never know. But considering he was his C/O and is now dead, it does seem obvious.

Here's something I haven't heard before: Why would Col. Killian write a Memo To File about George Bush for his personal files? Did he know that Bush would be President and running for re-election? His son, also an officer in the National Guard says that his father wouldn't even be involved in notifying Lt. Bush about his need to have a physical examination. He also said that Lt. Bush and a Lt. Bradley had requested assignment with a special unit that was being shipped over to Vietnam. Two other officers/pilots with more seniority were chosen over Bush and his pal. Ironically, it seems, according to Washington attorney and conservative talk show host Mark Levin (WABC in NYC), that Bush did volunteer for combat in Vietnam while Kerry never volunteered and joined the Naval Reserve to avoid Vietnam. And the really ironic part is that Kerry ended up in Nam and Bush didn't.

Well, Jim, you pretty much summed up my thoughts all along and well done, too.
But I just don't find it funny.
