Hugh Hewitt reports this exchange between John Kerry and Tom Brokaw:
Brokaw: "Did you know that [Berger] was under investigation?"Hasn't Kerry served in Congress for decades? Watergate, Iran Contra, Monica Lewinsky - none of these ring a bell? They all picked up steam with a strong denial...Kerry: "I didn't have a clue, not a clue."
Brokaw: "He didn't share that with you?
Kerry: "I didn't have a clue."
Kerry has just planted one end of survey stake in "no knowledge" territory. The first one to string the rope (metaphorically speaking) to the "full knowledge" territory wins.
Hat Tip: Glenn Reynolds
Update: Hewitt carries the Nixon analogy farther in his Weekly Standard column.
