The husband of Bangladeshi diplomat was charged nearly $130,000 by the Manhattan gentleman's club Scores, and now he says he was duped. The DA is looking into several cases of overcharging at the club.
From 1010 WINS:
"We have had about a half dozen complaints about overcharges at Scores," said Barbara Thompson, spokeswoman for the district attorney's office. She said Friday that her office began the probe after receiving recent complaints about the Upper East Side nightclub.Note: The Republican National Convention is in New York this year. My advice to convention attendees - leave the credit cards at the hotel.Tauhidul Chaudhury, husband of a senior diplomat at the Bangladesh Mission to the United Nations, said in a lawsuit reported this week that on Oct. 23 staffers at Scores plied him with booze and put $129,626 in bogus charges on four of his credit cards.
... Lonnie Hanover, spokesman for Scores, denied that anything improper was done in either case by Scores employees and they have the paperwork to prove it. He said he was unaware of any investigation by the district attorney's office.
Hanover said Chaudhury, who has been in the club several times since the night of the disputed charges, was spending "like a potentate." He said Chaudhury rented a private room and the bought the company of 15 Scores dancers while he was there.
The cost for each Scores dancer's company for the night was $5,000, for a total of $75,000, and the cost of the room was $5,000. Chaudhury also bought food and drinks for the 15 women and himself, and because of his "extreme generosity" gave everybody large tips - including an additional $5,000 to each dancer, Hanover said.

Do not go to Scores. As others I also found myself waking up the next morning regretting that I ever set foot in that establishment. They apply pressure tactics once they know you have a credit card. Also, they have the nerve to tell you how much to charge on your credit card. I felt humiliated and appalled that I went here. This Lonnie Hanover who I read in the papers as the Spokesman for Scores has some nerve underestimating their scam. Maybe he should go out and find a real job instead of scamming others credit cards!!!!!
