Who, in recent memory, is the president most associated with the term "apology?" The natural response, regardless of your political affiliation, would be Bill Clinton. Clinton bookended his presidential legacy with bimbo eruption apologies - Gennifer Flowers and Monica Lewinsky - and filled the middle apologizing to any minority or special interest group who asked for one. He was the master of the presidential apology.
Given Clinton's mastery of apologies, a Google search for the phrase Clinton apology or Clinton apologizes ought to beat the stuffing out of a similar search for the apology virgin*** Bush, right? Not quite...
Clinton apology - Results 1 - 10 of about 779
Bush apology - Results 1 - 10 of about 1,280
Clinton apologizes - Results 1 - 10 of about 658
Bush apologizes - Results 1 - 10 of about 693
Whose sorry now?
*** Bush popped his cherry yesterday, so he's not technically a virgin anymore.

How can you differentiate between Bush Sr. and Bush Jr.? Or apologies by repentant landscapers?

Eric you have a point but considering there was no (real, public) internet when 41 was in office, you would think the hits would be minimal.

Apples and oranges, given the ongoing growth of the web and especially the blogosphere explosion.
