I managed a bookstore in the Beverly Center many years ago. It would be the most likely target.
It is built over a giant methane gas deposit and if that is ignited, the entire Beverly Blvd./Third st./Park La Brea area would go up in flames. They actually have gas detection devices in the parking garage of the mall and several throughout the surrounding neighborhood.
