This New York Post story about a student suicide at NYU ordinarily would not be especially noteworthy, except for the fact that a Post photographer snapped pictures of the leap.
March 10, 2004 - The daughter of a Silicon Valley executive has become the fourth New York University student to take a fatal plunge this academic year.The Post splashed the picture on the front cover of the Tuesday edition (see below). Their decision to run the picture was roundly condemned. Today the story of Diana Chein's death gets even weirder...Sophomore Diana Chien, 19, jumped from the roof of her boyfriend's 24-story apartment building Saturday after quarreling with him.
March 11, 2004 - Death can't part Christopher Lam from his beloved - he plans to wed tragic NYU student Diana Chien, whose suicide leap from a Midtown rooftop Saturday shook the school and the city.Supposedly the guy has a kooky personal website as well. Still looking for that."I am still going to marry her," said Lam, who proposed to the beautiful NYU sophomore in January. "She was the love of my life, and I was hers."
The tragic couple - who had planned to tie the knot as soon as Chien, 19, graduated - will instead be married in California today, Lam said.

Hmm...I wonder if she was listening to The Smiths' "I Know It's Over" at the time, although I guess those arms coming out of the speakers didn't hug her strongly enough.

was legit or not, I find out its a FRAUD!! That isn't Chris's website. It's some poser that made the website. Chris NEVER WENT TO USF (the domain of the website). Chris attended UC Berkeley and NYU. Hence, Chris would not even have access to creating an account there. Some loser is faking the website and defaming Chris' name, adding to Chris' sadness. Whoever created that website is a pathetic liar who needs to get a life. Talk about tricking people, hidden agendas, and lying their a$$e$ off. Everyone be hating on Chris, but fake site is a load of dung. Poor Chris is already hurting, and some sad schmuck has to add to all the hate and death in this world. What is this world coming to??

I just wanted to say that I knew Chris as well.
He was a pathological liar and the most twisted person I knew.
Although he attended USF before transferring to NYU, he told everyone at NYU that he transferred from UC Berkeley (and made up some bullshit story about how he got kicked out of Berkeley because he was rude to a professor) so that everyone would be impressed and he could get more ass.
One of the reasons he was able to transfer to NYU is because his parents made a large donation to the school; obviously, he never strived for anything in life; he is a spoilt f-er, and materialistic as hell. He wears nothing but prada, vuitton,etc. He treats everyone like garbage.

is indeed his. HE told me so himself, back when we knew each other.
It's also true though that it hasn't been updated in over a year; that girl Cynthia is his ex-girlfriend. He cheated on Cynthia with some girl he met at NYU.
He also tried to play one of my friends. She was insecure, (and thanks to all his lying and smooth talk), she liked him, and he took advantage of it and treated her like shit. He would make vulgar comments to her about her chest. He lied to her all the time about what he was doing/ where he'd been, never kept promises, tried to make her do his homework, etc.
