A quick check in via phone this afternoon with my family indicates that everyone and their property is safe and back in their houses. Everyone is still packed and ready to go, just in case.
The major problem now, for many San Diego area residents not directly threatened by the fires is the air quality. Today's Air Quality Index in San Diego is in the Unhealthy - Red range.

Ugh. We've had that range here in Florida a few times. And don't even ask about when I was living in Thailand and the rainforests in Indonesia were burning. (Lovely sunsets; though...).
