I just saw on the news that this woman has lived in the U.S. since 1996. She hopes to return to Afghanistan "someday".
I don't see how she can represent a country she hasn't lived in since she was a child. This looks like a publicity stunt to me.
When they actually have a beauty pageant IN Afghanistan, let me know.
